I am excited to announce several new Document Management Products for 2003, and an upgrade to the core Document Management Software Program products that come in three price and features levels. Here is a brief overview of what’s coming.
New! A Document Routing Module This is a simple, easy to use module that allows a small workgroup to route documents in an Document Management Software Program database, for approval, review or any other purpose you may have. If you need basic workflow but have been discouraged by all the complex, expensive workflow products out there, this may be just right for you. It will be sold as an extension to Document Management Software Program Premium. (Release in summer 2003)
New! An Audit Trail Module Ideal for records management applications, especially where compliance is involved. Keeps a log of every user access to a database: what documents they viewed, what documents they added, unauthorized access attempts and more. It will be sold as an extension to Document Management Software Program Premium. (Release in summer 2003) New! A Role Based Access Control Module Ideal for records management applications, especially where compliance is involved. Document Management Software Program administrators can assign database functionality, based on user roles. Over 140 Document Management Software Program functions can be controlled centrally. It will be sold as an extension to Document Management Software Program Premium. (Release in spring summer 2003) New! E - Mail Storage for Exchange An automated email capture and archival solution that helps you comply with email record retention regulations, produce email records quickly for legal, and also provides a great email disaster recovery option. It captures what you tell it to from the Exchange server, and stores the email and attachments in an Document Management Software Program database. Available as a standalone solution, or it can be added to an existing Document Management Software Program Premium system. (Release in spring 2003) Join the Beta Test Team. New! A Document Management Software Program Indexing Station It’s between a Build and a Search license. Ideal when you have users that need to annotate images, or to add documents and profile data to a database, but should not have administrative database features like deleting, creating new fields or otherwise modifying the database. It will be sold as an extension to Document Management Software Program Premium. (Release in summer 2003) Announcing A New Document Management Software Program version 7.4 Customers with a current AMP (annual
maintenance program) will receive this upgrade. (Release in summer 2003) Highlights of 7.4 include: · Saved Search feature, an easy way to keep and re-use a list of stored searches. · Upgraded DVD burner support · Enhanced white label capability for service bureaus (Pro users) · New API functions for SDK users: access to the word wheels and lookup tables · A DICOM viewer to manage medical images (X-Rays, CT scans, MRI etc). · Storing documents outside the data container (Premium users) · Compliance with Section 508, a US government standard for disabled person access · Support for all the new extensions listed above · Bug fixes and improvements Document Management Software Program Web Update Available since late 2002, Document Management Software Program Web publishes your Document Management Software Program databases to the Internet and was developed using the latest Microsoft .NET technology. It is a significant upgrade from the venerable Document Management Software Program Web Server, which was first introduced in 1998. It is more scalable, easier to use, works faster, and is easier to administer.
New! Document Management Software Program Healthcare Solutions for HIPAA Later this year, will offer its first ‘vertical’ solution to help the healthcare industry with HIPAA compliance. Built on Document Management Software Program Premium and including many of the new modules above, the solution will also include professional services. (Release in summer 2003)
