Weight Gain, Cravings, & Genetics

Jay Leno expressed on the Tonight Show that as he interviewed people he realized that most of them had weight loss as their New Year’s resolution. Weight is indeed a major concern in the United States. Overweight robs us of energy and encourages diseases.

Obesity is a sign that the body is out of balance. Science knows how the body gets the proper nutrition. The answer is “Whole, live ,foods with living enzymes”. Weight loss pills and those who promise you lasting weight control, eat all you want, etc ,if you only take their pill, do not feed your body. Weight loss pills and fad diets may seem to work at first, but get off them and guess what? They do not correct the imbalance. The weight can start to creep up again and the only choice we have is to continue using them, although they don’t feed the body and the long term effects may not be known.

Our bodies crave the junk foods, the rich cheese sauces, fast food hamburgers(the biggest ones), breads, pastas and sugary desserts that they have become accustomed to. We are addicted. Sugars and flours make us sick, fat, and crazy. Many of the regular grocery stores contain genetically engineered foods-no living enzymes.

Where do the cravings come from? The basic underlying reason for craving is malnutrition. The body is simply not getting fed. This is confusing, especially to people who live in a country that has more food than any other. The myriad choices of foods in our markets would be mind-boggling for anyone who has lived in Iraq, for instance or in many other less well-supplied countries.

Why in a country so seemingly rich in foods ,are we starving? Why are we 17th on the world longevity list? Why are we getting sicker and sicker?

Consider the fact that even if you are eating vegetables and fruits and following recommended dietary requirements what you are eating is not feeding your body what it needs. Three areas of information may shed some light.

First, a study of current USDA nutrient tables for various vegetables and fruits coming off our fields today reveals a significant drop in nutrient contents since 1975 ,some of which are enormous. Senate Document #264,first issued in the 1930’s and again in the 1990’s

States: The impoverished soil of American no longer provides plant foods with the mineral elements essential to human nourishment and health…Laboratory tests prove that the fruits, vegetables ,the grains, the eggs and even the milk and meat of today are not what they were a few generations ago…No man of today can eat enough fruits and vegetables to supply his system with the minerals he requires for perfect health because his stomach is not big enough to hold them.. Physical ,mental and moral fitness

depend largely upon an ample supply and a proper proportion of the minerals in our foods.

Second: thousand of Americans suffer with some sort of assimilation problem, digestive problems or food allergies. Stomach settlers, or anti-acid medications are one of the highest on the popularity list in the U.S. Some of the common complaints are acid reflux, gas and bloating, loss of energy ,being overweight ,being underweight, getting hungry soon after eating ,frequent digestive problems, ,elimination difficulty ,food allergies and cravings.

Third: It is currently recognized that a significant portion of the American population is allergic to gluten in wheat. Webster’s Dictionary defines gluten as a tenacious, elastic protein substance esp. of wheat flour that gives cohesiveness to dough. Additional gluten is sometimes added for extra rise in breads. The adverse reaction to gluten in the body comes from the body’s inability to digest this substance. The undigested gluten forms a sticky, acidic protein paste which lines the small intestines, blocking nutrient receptor sites. Nutrients are lost because the receptor sites, through which nutrients are accepted into the bloodstream for distribution to the cells, are blocked. Especially serious is the blocking of the minerals which feed the glands of the body and the glands run the body. Calcium is a key controller of the alkalinity of the body. In most cases there are no symptoms until the body is in serious trouble, and then the person is craving the very food that is destroying his digestive tract. There is no medical solution to a
mal-absorption issue and therefore, is dietary in nature.

Would you be surprised to find out that the very root of your personal dietary dilemma may indicate through your blood type, your genetic diseases and nationalities that you do not properly digest gluten?

A body receiving the proper nutrition and proper cleansing will balance itself at its ideal weight for health. A person who is adequately fed will be free of cravings, energetic, clear headed and healthy.
